BECKY RESPONDS TO BAY AREA FILMMAKER'S ANTISEMITIC

BAY AREA FILMMAKER AND PALESTINIAN ACTIVIST WENDY CAMPBELL EXPLAINS HER VIEW AND "HISTORY"
OF THE ISRAELI-ARAB CONFLICT.

(Ed. Wendy Campbell is a Bay Area fimmaker who has been playing the film "Palestine Is Still The Issue" at Bay Area campuses and at other rallies nationwide. Below please read her antisemitic diatribe and made up history about the Arab-Israeli conflict. Then TAKE ACTION and contact your local campus administrators with copies and demand her films not be shown on campus. College campuses are this woman's main venue. Below follow the ranting of an idiot to a question from fellow Leftist Becky Johnson to the murder of 7 year-old Noam Leibowitz inside the 1947 borders of Israel. Becky's response follows.).

LET WENDY KNOW WHAT YOU THINK THEN CONTACT LOCAL HILLELS AND
SO-CALLED "JEWISH"PEACE GROUPS WHO MAY SCREEN HER FILMS.

Hi Becky,

I don't believe that Israel has the right to exist as a Jewish state, as that would make it necessary to continue its persecution and ethnic cleansing of non-Jews.

A Jewish state in that part of the world is immoral, as it is the cradle of the three major monotheistic religions and has always been multi-cultural until the Zionists came in with their Jewish Supremacist ideas of an exclusive Jewish state on someone else's homeland, the indigenous majority being Palestinian Muslims, with some Palestinian Christians, however the small pocket of Palestinian Jews were readily accepted as citizens of Israel--- see how discriminatory, anti-democratic and apartheid that is?

I hope you will check out the Ultra Orthodox Jewish website of the Neturei Karta at www. netureikarta.org.  They are totally anti-Zionism and anti-Israel, and even burn the Israel flag at demonstrations every year on the Jewish holiday of Purim in New York, London, and I think even Jerusalem.

I will be interviewing a Rabbi who belongs to that organization for my upcoming documentary on Israeli apartheid and Zionism soon in New York.

Unfortunately, the media, which is largely dominated by Zionist, pro-Israel Jews, do their best to keep anti-Zionist Jews out of the mainstream American newspapers.  Many people are completely shocked and amazed to learn that there are Jews who are anti-Israel and anti-Zionism.  The Neturei Karta (Guardian of the Gate) has been around from the 1930s.

(Ed. note:Wendy is speaking of the Neteuri Karta, an obscure ulta-orthodox sect that believes Israel must be destroyed because it was created befoe the return of the Messiah. Numbering nly a few hundred, mostly in New York, they are funded by Arafat for propaganda purposes and Arafat has one on his "Council" in the PA. NK's have been arrested in Israel for smuggling arms to terrorists.)

I believe that Israel must be transformed into a true secular democracy with completely equal rights for all regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or sex, including for all the Palestinian refugees who must be allowed their inalienable right to return to their ancestral homeland of Palestine-Israel as it is their right according to UN Resolutions, International Law and world opinion.

This transformation of Israel can be accomplished using the model on which South Africa was transformed from a White Supremacist apartheid country into a true secular democracy with equal rights for all regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or sex.  The first step, as in South Africa, is to set up a Truth and Reconciliation Council to address all the issues honestly and fairly.

Thanks for your interest in my opinion.  I will attach a photo of the flag that I have designed for the new country of Palestine-Israel which I believe is the most humane, progressive and just solution.  The flag has 3 bands of color: blue for Judaism, white for Christianity, and green for Islam, and on top of that in the middle is the earth made up of these three colors and with a white dove with an olive branch in its beak as the symbol of peace and good will for all.

Please circulate widely.

Best wishes for Peace, Liberty and Justice for ALL,

Wendy Campbell

Date: Thu, Jun 19, 2003, 10:38 AM

Dear Wendy,

This article is shocking in two ways.  First, it is the murder of a 7 yr old girl.
2nd, the way the state-controlled Palestinian news reported the death.
I think it also shows the futility of the partition---underscoring that a political
solution must be found to end the violence.

I have a question for you. Does Israel have a right to exist as a Jewish country
in the mideast?

TERRORISTS CRAWLED *UNDER* PARTITION FENCE

Noam Liebowitz, the 7-year-old girl who was murdered last night on the
Trans-Israel highway, was buried this afternoon. The funeral set out at 1:30
from the synagogue in the Yemin Orde Youth Village, and she was laid to rest
in Moshav Nir Etzion, south of Haifa. Her sister Shira, 3, who was seriously
wounded in the shooting attack, was operated on in Schneider Children's
Hospital in Petach Tikvah.

Her condition is stable and she is conscious.

Her grandfather and another brother were lightly wounded, and were released from
the hospital over night. The children's parents and uncle were also in the
car at the time.

Voice of Palestine radio today described the murder of seven-year-old Noam,
which took place inside pre-1967 Israel, as "the death by shooting of a
female Israeli settler".

Meanwhile, the Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigade, the military wing of Yasser Arafat's Fatah terrorist organization, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) have claimed responsibility for the attack.

Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom said today that Tuesday night's terrorist
shooting shows the Palestinian Authority has not yet made the necessary
strategic decision to dismantle the terrorist groups and round up their
weapons.

Shalom said he is expecting the Americans and the international
community to pressure the Palestinians to dismantle the terrorist
infrastructure and to confront these groups in the territories.

Shalom made the comments during a meeting with EU envoy Miguel Moratinos.

The Tuesday night attack was the first of its kind on the Trans-Israel
highway, Israel's first toll road. Preliminary investigations show that
though the road is protected by the new "partition wall," the terrorists
crawled under it via a narrow drainage pipe. The pipe was covered by a
netted screen that they had to cut.

Professors for a Strong Israel released a statement this morning decrying
the concept of the "partition wall." The statement reads,"The latest
terrorist murder took place on the Trans-Israel Highway, between Kalkilya
and Kfar Sava, where the 'Separation Fence' is complete (and higher than
anywhere else).

Professors for a Strong Israel again calls on the Prime Minister to awake, to cease these negotiations under fire with the Dahlans, Barghoutis, and Yassins, and to halt the headlong flight back to the Green Line.

The attack demonstrates, painfully and unsurprisingly, that neither
the Road Map, nor a general withdrawal, nor the wasteful and unnecessary
separation fence will stop the enemy from seeking his goal:
ethnic cleansing of the Jewish people from every part of Israel.

How far will the Prime Minister go in setting up a terrorist state with territorial contiguity?

After the unmanned 'outposts', after the small settlements, will he proceed
to destroy settlements such as Kochav Yair and Eyal, in order to establish
contiguity from Kalkilya to Tira and Taibeh?"

ROCKET HITS HOUSE, AND MORE PALESTINIAN ATTACKS

The murderous attack on the Trans-Israel highway was not the only terrorist
incident since last night.

For one thing, a new community was added to the list of those that have "received" Kassam rockets courtesy of Palestinian terrorists.

A home in Netiv HaAsarah, south of Ashkelon and just north of
the Gaza Strip, was hit and damaged; no one was hurt. The rocket hit the
living room of the home around 4:00 AM; only three hours earlier, the mother
had taken her little daughter from the living room couch on which she had
fallen asleep and peacefully brought her to her bed - thus possibly saving
her life.

Shots rang out at a car with three family members south of Hevron late last
night; no one was hurt, but the bullets damaged the car.

Also last night, IDF forces came under attack near Silwad in the Ramallah region and near Netzarim in Gaza.
This morning, Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a Border Guard patrol near Kalkilye, and firebombs were hurled at an IDF jeep in Hevron.

And there's more: Palestinian terrorist snipers fired from Khan Yunis towards Gan-Or in the Negev, a bomb was found and was dismantled near Rafiach, and a convoy of cars from Netzarim was fired upon.

Muhammad Badran, the head of Islamic Jihad in the village of Idna near
Hevron, was captured today by a Naval Commando unit.

Badran, ranked among the three most senior Jihad terrorists in the entire Hebron area, was taken into custody and is being interrogated by the IDF.

Israeli forces also apprehended some 14 wanted terrorists last night, including a female suicide bomber.

And three other suicide bombers were recently stopped by Israeli
forces while on their way to carry out attacks.

The three were apprehended in Tul Karem and Shechem. In another counter-terrorist operation, Israeli forces destroyed three abandoned structures last night that were believed to be used by PA terrorists in planning attacks against Israel.

They did not find any arms-smuggling tunnels, however.

Another meeting between Israeli and PA security leaders ended last night
without a decision.

On the agenda was the transfer of security control in northern Gaza to the PA. An Israeli official told Ynet, "Security control for the lives of Israeli citizens will remain in IDF hands in any event, even if we allow Dahlan to operate his forces in the field."

American envoy John Wolfe is meeting with PA leaders today.

Hi Becky,

I don't believe that Israel has the right to exist as a Jewish state,...

BECKY:  This comment alone says it all. It justifies the suicide bombers, the killing of this 7 yr old girl, and every other act of aggression committed by the Arab/Muslim groups who hate Jews.

...as that would make it necessary to continue its persecution and ethnic cleansing of non-Jews.

BECKY: There are 15 organized religions in Israel, of which only one is the Jewish faith.  20% of Israel's population are Arab/Muslims. There is no persecution or ethnic cleansing of non-Jews. What there is, is non-Jews are not automatically granted citizenship.  They can become citizens without conversion, but must go through an application process similar to that in the United States.

A Jewish state in that part of the world is immoral,...

BECKY: So you think the 3,300 year old Jewish faith is immoral too?

as it is the cradle of the three major monotheistic religions and has always been multi-cultural until the Zionists came in with their Jewish Supremacist ideas of an exclusive Jewish state on someone else's homeland,...

BECKY:  Israel has always been the homeland for the Jews. Read your old testament. Its in there.  The Zionists came in the 30's from other countries and purchased land for kibbutz's. Read about the massacre in 1929 in Hebron and tell me again that its "always been multi-cultural until the Zionists came".  Besides, the Jews in 1947/1948 invited their Arab/Muslim neighbors to stay and build the new nation of Israel with them.  Hardly a demand for an exclusive Jewish homeland, is it?  Why do you tell these lies? Are you mis-informed or do you have some sort of agenda you are pushing?

... the indigenous majority being Palestinian Muslims, with some Palestinian Christians, however the small pocket of Palestinian Jews were readily accepted as citizens of Israel--- see how discriminatory, anti-democratic and apartheid that is?

BECKY: Wendy, how do you explain that Israel is 20% Arab/Muslim with full citizenship?

I hope you will check out the Ultra Orthodox Jewish website of the Neturei Karta at www. netureikarta.org.  They are totally anti-Zionism and anti-Israel, and even burn the Israel flag at demonstrations every year on the Jewish holiday of Purim in New York, London, and I think even Jerusalem.

BECKY: I did see the website. I noted that it is very slick and cost a small fortune to put it up.  How can you be sure its not just a front for Arab/Muslim's who are anti-Jewish?

I will be interviewing a Rabbi who belongs to that organization for my upcoming documentary on Israeli apartheid and Zionism soon in New York.

BECKY: Ask him where he gets his funding and ask for proof.

BECKY: I'm sorry, but it seems like a totally anti-Jewish propaganda organization to me which disseminates mis-information deliberately. You have been sold a bill of goods.

BECKY:  Can you give me a single example of an Arab/Muslim secular democracy with complete equal rights regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or sex? Israel was created by UN resolutions which state she has a right to exist.

BECKY: What you consider "honest" and "fair" is to rewrite history in the light that characterizes the Jewish people as monsters.

BECKY: Wendy, I believe in democracy, equal rights, and religious freedom too.  But I think Israel better embodies these ideals than the Palestinian Authority does (or Saudi Arabia or Jordan or Syria or Egypt or Nigeria, etc)  It is true that Israel is a Jewish state---meaning any Jew in the world can immigrate to Israel and become a citizen. Don't you think this "special case" is justified given the extreme anti-semiticism in most countries of the world and the Nazi German Jewish holocaust? Do you have any criticisms for Arab countries which have fundamentalist Muslim leaders?  How about Jordan which makes it illegal for any Jew in the entire country to own property?

Please circulate widely.
